The hulk reminds me of Homer Simpson. I think it's the shading on around his mouth. I'm really feeling that Storm pic. Seems Like everyone is leveling up Around here

I'm not feelin' the hulk... I think the shoulders and head angle don't match. I always use some type of real life ref.-like feeling/looking where the muscle connection points go. He looks too stiff to me.
With that said, I like all of the concepts of the poses you have here. I like them sketchums you got thurr Haus.

next time draw the whole figure!
I know people hate crits, but I can't help it!

hell no, the crits are helpful as shit! I appreciate 'em. I'm gonna start using the collar bone to define where my shoulders should go, maybe that'll loosen it up a little, and I'm gonna try to stop drawing the arms so straight and stiff. I'll also watch those proportions more. Thanks guys.

ok good we are on the same page about crits!
I can't help anyone w/ faces but, I'll share a few tips for the arm/leg. I'm not sure if what I say is accurate, but it's what I have picked up on over the years.

1.the forearm is most of the time less than one third head shorter than the other. The bend of the arm is usually at the belly button-the center of the whole figure

    2. when drawing the basic frame keep in mind that you're just adding flesh to a skeleton. Your adding 3d shapes to it not just outlining it.

    3. The thing that makes most people's arms and legs stiff is that they want to draw the skeleton of the arm or legs completely straight. look at some real skeletons their arms and legs bow out to some degree (for shock absorbing I guess). drawing the frame and getting body language down can be 10 times more expressive than a face.

    hope that helped
    Peace,
