my 1st time with copic markers... they were gentle.
Yes yes y'all,
This is my 1st real sketch in a month, it's been soooo long...you can tell I went crazy w/ the markers. Anywayz, here is some tribal funk for y'all to chew on...
I gotta step out and say, copic is the shiet! I copped the brush pen multiliner and two gray markers. Then i went over one of my ballpoint pen sketches I did two days ago. I noticed the copic brush pens are alot smoother feeling than sakaura brush pens...Around here they are about the same price, but the markers are a little too rich for my blood... I'm stickin with my tria's for now.

Tribal Is Killing 'em. I wish I would think of shit like that. My mind is too narow sometimes. It reminds me of Zamunda for some reason. And the girl reminds me of That light skin shorty on the Cosby Show. lol. I really digg the grays. Only markers i have are Sharpies, and they are ugly when used for coloring, but nice for some quick tags when out and about. About how much are those Greys running you?

Hahaha Coming to America, that movie with Eddie Murphy?!- and don't get me started on some Cosbys.. throwbacks for real.
The Copic Sketch Markers are cheaper than the original copics and have a lil' fatter brush end tip. And all Copics don't smudge easily 'cuz they dry so fast.
Last time I remember they were $4.30 each for the Copic Sketch Markers, and that's not even list price. It hurt my wallet; it's either food, gas, or art supplies. Maybe I'm just tight w/ my money. The good thing is that they aren't as hard to find as they used to be...and not as nearly expensive (6 bones a pop).
I'm bais 'cuz i love me some brushpens. Honestly, I'd say, just buy one or two to feel them out. I used mostly "Cool Gray 3" the other gray "Warm Gray 7" was alot darker than I thought didn't use much of that at all other than on the bg.
Yes, Sharpies are the shiet!
They got Copic at DickBlick if you can't find 'em where you live. But, it looks like they don't have the multiliner brushpens though.

That nice juicy stroke on the shoulder is my favorite...one might even say it's life changing. I can't wait to see some more stuff.

I'm going to save that quote! Great minds think alike? ha ha ha! That brush stroke was a gamble and I love it, it's like putting racing stripes on a Cadilac or a lexus. I'm glad it got some props...Now I gotta reteach myself the full anatomy of the manly & womenly figure.
But, all my anatomy books are packed up in storage!
